the brief.
With the Scotland men’s national team heading to the European Championships, BBC Sport tasked us with creating a film to capture the mood of the nation right before our tournament-defining group match with Switzerland.
We’d need something special to inspire the nation in the buildup to one of the most important games in Scotland’s history.
However, it had to be shot in advance of the tournament – and the one thing we couldn’t rely on was the team’s performance.
The one thing we could rely on was the fans.
the SOMETHING.
We told the story of what it means to be a Scotland fan in a fresh way; from those who had seen it all to those who were being introduced to it for the first time.
Step forward a couple of legends: 92 (and a half) year-old Moira and 13 year-old Charlie.
Two generations, separated by 80 years, with one shared passion for the Scotland team.
This VT from the BBC may be the best moment of the whole EURO 2024
